Definitely not black but adheres well and sticks well. For 10 bucks it is worth it. I was so tired of the vinyl flakes all over the floor as you can see in the photo. I am the only one going to see the chair and I am ok with the color of the patch the grain look is larger than on the chair but still ok for me ordering more today.It works but I was sent the wrong colour! I ordered black and was sent dark brown.Wast of time and moneyIt didn't stay on. I bought for my office chair and it came right back off.Not blackthis was very disappointing wont buy againI got this leather repair tape for my husband to fix the upholstery in one of our cars. He said it was easy to use--the tape comes off the roll smoothly and the adhesive sticks firmly. There's also enough on a single roll to do a LOT of patch work! It has definitely worked to hold the torn leather on our car seat, but it's also pretty immediately noticeable. The gray color is very flat and stands out in contrast to the gray of our car. It's okay, though, especially since it's a very old vehicle. As an extremely affordable and easy to use leather repair option, it's great, and I'm happy to recommend it.This self adhesive faux leather is decent. It looks good and I like that it has a slight bit of stretch to it. The edges don't easily fray, which is good.I just wish it had better/stronger adhesive. I've found that the edges come up pretty easily.
