I am currently using this to protect a wound on my left hand. Whenever I shower, I put the hand in a plastic bag, wrap the top of the bag around my wrist, then apply this waterproof tape at the wrist. It truly does keep the water out and the same piece is reusable. I recommend buying a wider size than this so that it covers more area, but this works, too.
