Prior to planting, till the soil to a depth of 8 inches. Space the seeds 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 2 feet apart and cover them with 1/4 inch of fine soil. Firm lightly and water gently.

While full sun is ideal, Georgia Southern Collards will tolerate partial shade. Estimated grow time is between 40?and 65 days.

Heirloom Georgia Southern Collards?Harvesting Instructions

Your Georgia Southern Collards will be ready for harvest when their foliage reaches between 6?and 8?inches long, approximately 40 to 65 days post-sowing.

Harvest just the lower leaves or the entire plant before the leaves become tough. The flavor of collards is best after a light frost.
